Mirror.co.uk is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double has suffered a major injury on the pre-production set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at world famous Leavesden Studios. The 25 year old stunt double took a plunging fall while rehearsing a harnesed flying sequence when an explosion that was part of the scene caused the incident.
“It is thought he may have been caught by the explosion and hit the ground very hard. He told crew members who went to help him he couldn’t feel anything from the waist down. Everyone is just hoping he makes a good recovery. It has come as a terrible shock.” said a source to the report.
The studio responded with this: “We can confirm a member of the Harry Potter production was injured in an accident. We are awaiting further news. Out of respect for the family we are unable to comment further.”
The already completed 6th Harry Potter instalment Half-Blood Prince hits theaters 07.17.09. The final and 7th tale in the series is being made into two films, the first due in 2010.
