Meet the Parents was funny – Meet the Fockers kind of annoying – and now Meet the Little Fockers is being conceived. I guess we should have seen it coming after what we saw with the last one. This installment of the Focker legacy will sure enough revolve around the children of Greg “Gaylord” Focker (Ben Stiller) and Pam Focker (Teri Polo). It goes with out saying that Greg’s father-in-law Jack (Robert De Niro), will once again be scrutinizing and judging each step that Greg takes in fatherhood, while Greg fails at his attempts to please him. Who wants to bet me that at least one kid is named something like “Ima”? It is also expected that Kevin Rawley (Owen Wilson) will play a bigger part in this piece of the Fock-ilogy.
John Hamburg who previously wrote Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, is returning to re-pen an already written draft from Larry Stuckey. Although Jay Roach will stay on to produce, he will not be directing this time around. Talents such as Payton Reed (Yes Man), David Wain (Role Models), and Paul Weitz (About A Boy) are all currently being eyeballed to add to the Focker family tree. Stay tuned…
This re-cut trailer of Meet the Parents is pretty awesome:
