Megan Fox – the newly single “Foxy” 22 year old Transformers star…also a huge comic fan!?! To prove this, she has signed on to star in two adapted comic movies.

Coming first will be the anti-hero Sci-Fi Western, Jonah Hex based on the DC Comics character. Fox will play Leila, the gun-slinging love interest to Hexplayed by Josh Brolin. John Malkovich is also on-board as the voodoo priest Turnbull who plans to raise up an army of undead to liberate the South. Never read it, but it sounds interesting. Jimmy Hayward is set to direct a screenplay by Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor with filming beginning this April for an August 6th 2010 release.

Next is her role as the superhero Aspen in the late Michael Turner comic Fathom. Turner is one of Fox’s favorite artists and she is taking quite an ownership with this role by aiding in the development and picking up a co-producer credit. Fathom is the story of a young woman who has a strange attraction to water and discovers she is a hybrid of humanoid races called The Blue & The Black. Fox bares an uncanny resemblance to Aspen so this may very well be the role she was meant to play. Hmmm, Megan Fox in small wet clothing…I wonder how many tickets that will sell.

Fox will next be seen in a little summer movie called Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
