Amanda Peet has joined the cast of the Jack Black starring adventure comedy, Gulliver’s Travels.
Loosely based on Jonathan Swift’s classic story, this rendition will see Lemuel Gulliver (Black) play ace travel writer, Lemuel Gulliver, who goes on assignment to the Bermuda Triangle, but ends up on the island of Liliput, where he towers over its tiny citizens.
The lovely Peet will play along side Black as Gulliver’s editor and potential love interest. She is joining the already cast Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, who had to turn down her offer to play the Black Widow in Iron Man 2 due to scheduling conflicts with Gulliver’s Travels.
Last month saw the beginning of production with Rob Letterman the co-director of the current 3-D animated Monsters Vs. Aliens directing the film for Fox. Gulliver’s Travels will land in theaters June 4th, 2010.
