The latest draft of Grayskull, the attempt at a new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe movie, is currently being penned by newcomer screenwriter Evan Daugherty. The last draft of the script was written by Justin Marks, of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li “fame”.
John Stevenson the director of Kung Fu Panda is set to direct the re-imagining of this 80’s comic/cartoon/feature film of Prince Adam’s destiny as He-Man. In the new version they plan to make him a soldier looking for his path which leads him to the land of Eternia. There, he come across the evil Skeletor who is producing a techno army with plans to eradicate magic.
WTF? What’s wrong with the original He-Man story? Didn’t the Dolph Lundgren version take enough liberties? If you must re-make everything Hollywood, please stick to the roots of the character, no matter how flimsy.
In my opinion, the casting director need look no further than findheman.com, he’s out there and they can find him. Not as elusive as Sasquatch and sometimes looking rather social, He-Man exhibits habits resembling that of a self absorbed human. Amazing stuff!
