Word on the street is that the whip will crack yet again with a followup to Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It was reported earlier this week that Indy 5 was a go via the mouth of little whip – aka Shia Labeouf in a conversation with Lizo Mzimba on the BBC where he said, “Steven (Spielberg) just said that he cracked the story on it, and I think they’re gearing it up”.
Now Indy producer Frank Marshall is confirming it, and suggesting that Indiana Jones V is nearing the script development stage. “It’s really about the script,” says Marshall. “Once we see that, we’ll see. We’re not going to wait another 20 years. We’d all love to make another one. I’m anxious to hear the idea! “Until there’s a script, nothing is definite. I haven’t heard the idea.”
No word yet from the Beards (Spielberg & Lucas) or Ford (now age 66) on the fifth adventure from the fedora wearing archaeologist. “Yeah. We had a great time making the last one and, as Harrison said, we need to make this one soon. We’re not getting any younger.”
What do you guys think about another Indy? Good, bad, indifferent, or “it belongs in a museum”?
