File under rumor

Noise about the future Indiana Jones 5 plot have been rumbling from the New Zealand news outlet Stuff that Indy will be spending time in the North Atlantic blue waters of the Bermuda Triangle in his next and final outing. Unnamed sources are all we have to go on here, so remember to take the below with a grain of salt for now:
“George (Lucas) and Steven (Spielberg) have been working on a script and it’s almost there,” the unnamed source explained.
“Harrison is on stand-by for filming next year. This looks like being an emotional and exciting conclusion to the franchise, with Indy facing his biggest challenge yet.”
“Shia LaBeouf has a central role again as Indy’s son but this will be a blockbuster made in the old fashioned way rather than the CGI efforts of the last movie,” the source added.
Were the very same kinds of promises not made last time around? Then we got a lot of BS monkey swinging, prairie dog jokes, and over indulgent alien screen time. Since Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf will be back, and have both recently admitted that Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull was pretty much garbage, it will be interesting to see how back to Indy’s roots we go, as the majority of fans would prefer it over all the CG “magic” that was rampant in The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.
With Spielberg currently immersed in Tintin and Lucas watching over his baby Red Tails, dont expect to see a big announcment from the beards anytime in the near future…at least until all the Mutts are ironed out.
