The second trailer for Fury was released today and it’s one of the best trailers I’ve seen in 2014. Fury is directed by David Ayer (End of Watch and Sabotage) and chronicles a war hardened tank crew as they make their way towards Berlin in the final days of World War II. The war seems to be coming to an end, however much fighting, carnage, and death is needed between here and there. I like the crew Ayers has assembled here, with Brad Pitt as the war weary yet solid leader, Logan Lerman as the wide-eyed, fearful newbie, and with Shia LaBeouf, The Walking Dead‘s Jon Bernthal and the always underrated Michael Pena rounding out the rest of the tank crew. Cinematographer Roman Vasyanov is relatively new to the scene but he seems to have given this movie a textured and rich look. Here’s hoping the movie is as gritty as this trailer promises. Can’t wait.
Fury, which has a nice awards-friendly November 14th release date, is directed by David Ayer and stars Brad Pitt, Michael Pena, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal and Scott Eastwood.
