Interstellar is the 2014 movie I’m most looking forward to seeing. This trailer gives us a fairly in-depth look at what kind of story Christopher and Jonathan Nolan are seeking to tell, and in a year in which remakes, reboots, and remakes of reboots have dominated multiplexes, Interstellar promises to be unlike anything we’ve yet seen. It’s an original story, yes, but the effects work and the more mind-bending sci-fi elements (such as bending space to travel long distances) seem to be working in concert with one another to tell what seems to be a rather heartfelt looking space epic. Time will tell if all these moving parts work together to make one cohesive movie, but at this point, I wouldn’t bet against Christopher Nolan.
Interstellar is set for release on November 7th, from Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is directed by Christopher Nolan from a script by his brother Jonathan Nolan, and stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Jessica Chastain, and Casey Affleck.
