  • Debut trailer for STAR WARS VII re-awakens our love for the Star Wars universe

    By | November 28, 2014

It’s weird… The last Star Wars movie was in 2005, but in some ways, it feels like we’ve been waiting since 1983 for this trailer. Now, this is just a teaser and we only get about one percent of the story (the force, once dormant, has awoken), but this is one slick looking trailer. While the shot of the Stormtroopers in the carrier transport looks very much like something from a JJ Abrams movie, everything else looks like it syncs up nicely with the original style. But this is also kind of a heightened style. We’ve seen the Millennium Falcon cool do some cool stuff, but we’ve never really seen the Millennium Falcon do that! The shot of the X-Wings flying over the water is pretty damn amazing.

    – Who are the new characters? Are they of familial relation to the original cast?
    – Who’s doing the narration? Andy Serkis? Adam Driver? Other?
    – Where are Luke, Leia, Han, and the rest of the original characters?

My mission: stay alive for the next 13 months.

Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens will be released on December 18, is directed by JJ Abrams, and stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Anthony Daniel, Peter Mayhew, and many more.
